RUNTIME / SYSTEMS NOTE

Replay Is Not Consequence

Exact runtime histories, evidence completeness and the unresolved boundary between reproducible execution and external truth.

A replay-exact runtime can reproduce its own recorded history without proving that the history captured every consequential event, that authority remained valid or that the claimed world-state change occurred.

  1. 01

Which externally consequential events are absent from the local event log?

  2. 02

Can the same replay remain valid after authority or world state changes?

  3. 03

What independent evidence is required to bind a recorded execution to its claimed effect?
